Diy birthday card in quilling technique

All the diy greeting cards in my collection are very easy to make and don’t require any special skills or techniques. Yet sometimes I stumble upon very nice cards with some quilled elements and I simply can’t pass by… That’s what happened today. Luckily, there’s only 1 very easuy basic quilling element, so even if you have never one anything like that before – it won’t be a problem and won’t take too much time!

Ideas for Cards| Materials:

  • Card stock
  • Stripes of coloured paper: black, red, violet, blue
  • Glue, scissors

Ideas for Cards| Directions:
Take red, violet and blue stripes of paper and make 3 teardrop coils, using quilling tecniques.
Teardrop coil.
Roll a strip of paper tightly around your tool (slotted tool, needle tool, or toothpick), being sure to deep the paper in alignment as you roll. Remove the tool and allow the roll uncoil to the desired size. With your index finger and thumb, pinch the coil into a point, allowing the opposite side to remain round.Glue the loose end to the coil.
Now take 3 stripes of black paper, glue each stripe to the coil. Finally, glue all 3 „air balloons” to the card stock.
Add a Happy Birthday inscription and your handmade birthday card is ready!
